Modern estate

A businessman from Zeeland and his wife approached Wolterinck for the interior design, interior decoration and the styling of their massive new-build country home. We adapted the layout of the house and created, on the one hand, intimacy by giving the various residential functions separate areas and, on the other hand, a sense of space by working with glass and long lines of sight. We also adapted the entrance. The stately villa demanded an imposing entrance hall but the original staircase was small. Wolterinck replaced it with two grand staircases on either side of the hall, forming a beautiful, long line of sight – one of the many in the house. The furniture, materials and colours we used give the residence a look of modest luxury.
