Beach villa Bonaire

From a distance, this villa built on stilts has something of the air of a boutique hotel. The weathered wood and the imposing staircase create a pure and robust appearance, and you can truly speak of natural beauty. This is precisely what appealed to the current owner when she bought the villa, however, inside, it was a completely different story. The wood was hidden under a thick layer of paint and orange and bright yellow prevailed. The task for the designers at Wolterinck was to tone down the excessive exuberance of the interior. This they did by muting the entire look & feel of the interior to better suit the purity of this idyllic location. Light, earthy tints combined with hints of turquoise playfully reflecting the colour of the sea meant we were able to bring the robust character of the outside of the villa inside without it becoming overbearing.
