Garden design Frankfurt
The owners of a villa in a former German spa town approached Wolterinck for a design that would connect the special Italian architecture of their home to the surrounding nature. The high altitude of the house in the wooded Taunus hillside provides a view from the living room over the enchanting valley of fir trees. The Wolterinck designers introduced subtle but strong zoning in the design. Directly around the house, they applied the principles of classic landscaping such as clean lines and symmetry. As you stroll deeper into the garden, natural shapes and scenic planting become increasingly marked with the Amelanchier trees playing a crucial role in the middle of the garden. Although they are tightly grouped, their lush appearance creates a smooth transition from garden to landscape and from architecture to nature – exactly what the residents wanted.
