Sculptor Carolien van der Heijden works with bronze and various types of stone such as alabaster, serpentine and marble. Her statues relate the story of autonomous parts that enter into an organic relationship with each other. A meaningful connection is carved from stone creating a whole that is more than the sum of its parts.
